2012 Collection Notice

Beginning on January 1, 2012, employees of the Dallas Area Municipal Authority will provide collection of solid waste and recycling for the residents of Dallas Borough, Dallas Township, and Kingston Township. The following changes will become effective at that time:
1. Rate Reduction: The 2012 DAMA Solid Waste rate will be reduced by $30.00, from the current rate of $260.00 per household, to a new rate of $230.00 per household per year. Fees for additional services such as extra bag stickers will remain at the 2011 pricing.
2. Driveway Service: DAMA is unable to provide driveway service to those customers that have contracts with our current hauler for this convenience. Please make other arrangements to insure that your trash and recycling is placed curbside for collection on the correct day for your service area.
3. Recycling Changes: We are changing to a single stream recycling program, with collection every week. This means that all recyclables, to include glass, plastic, metal cans, paper, and cardboard can be placed curbside in the same container on the same day for your weekly collection.
The Handicapped Program and Hardship Program will remain as in prior years. Our goal is to provide our solid waste customers with the highest level of service in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible.
